Studying Logic at VUW

The subjects Logic and Computation (LOCO) and Logic (LOGI) can be taken for graduate study at several levels.

Doctoral study

Both Logic and Computation and Logic are available for qualified students who wish to study for a Ph.D. The process of doctoral study is managed by the Faculty of Graduate Research, whose website has full information about application and admission.

Postgraduate Diploma in Science (PGDipSci) or in Arts (PGDipArts)

These are one year programmes consist of 120 points of 400-level coursework. They can be completed full-time in two trimesters or part-time over up to four years and hence provide an alternative to the Honours degrees for students with significant work or other commitments. LOCO can be taken for PGDipSci or PGDipArts, and LOGI for PGDipArts.
